GAMEBUDDY FRIEND EDITION 1.16

WHAT THIS IS
GameBuddy is a Windows gaming companion plus private Rooms text/voice chat. This download contains no API key, account, personal memory, screenshots, or settings from another player.

START
1. Extract the ZIP before running it.
2. Run GameBuddy.exe. Windows may show an unsigned-app warning until GameBuddy receives code signing.
3. Open Settings (gear icon) and choose your AI engine:
   - CLOUD: paste your own OpenAI API key and click SAVE PRIVATE KEY. Windows Credential Manager stores it only on your PC.
   - LOCAL: choose one of the approved local presets, select CPU/integrated/discrete GPU, then DOWNLOAD / START.
4. Click CHAT, create your GameBuddy Rooms account, and sign in. This binds a revocable device key to your Windows installation.
5. Paste the invitation link or code into JOIN INVITE. If you opened the invitation link first, the room joins automatically after sign-in.

VOICE
Inside CHAT, choose your microphone and speakers. You can enable echo cancellation, noise suppression, automatic gain, push-to-talk, mute, and friend volume. Click JOIN VOICE after choosing devices.

BROWSER INTERMISSIONS / AUTOPILOT
When a browser replaces the game, GameBuddy can make occasional page-aware remarks and offer to stop watching. The deep Settings panel controls the minimum browser-comment interval. Character Autopilot may manage the creative, timing, voice, presence, eco, monitor-following, and watching controls. It cannot alter credentials, login security, Windows permissions, GPU selection, capture source, marketplace approval, repositories, or model allowlists.

MARKETPLACE SECURITY
Only built-in approved characters and model presets run in this version. The future marketplace requires a logged-in account and an admin-approved signed catalog. Character packages are data only; executable marketplace payloads are not accepted.

PRIVACY / FAIR PLAY
GameBuddy reads external screen pixels only. It does not inject into games, read game memory, install hooks, or expose hidden game information. Voice media is peer-to-peer encrypted WebRTC; the Rooms server carries signaling and text.
